Mass in Singapore: "I hope to improve"

In next weekend's planned Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 which it held only four editions and the Ferrari Felipe Massa started from pole position at the inaugural in 2008 but, due to a variety of circumstances, was unable to convert that result in a win. "I like the track of Singapore and I think it fits to my features, although I never had much luck there," said the Brazilian driver on Ferrari's website. "So I look with confidence to the possibility of making a new good result and I hope to do even better than in the last two races. Touch wood, we can continue on this road after those were two good races at Spa and Monza. I've collected a good number of points, especially compared to how things went at the beginning of the season ". The Marina Bay circuit presents many common characteristics with the other systems, like the citizens of curves (23), most of them medium and lens, and extends counterclockwise. Asphalt, as always happens in similar environments, is quite disjointed, which complicates their lives in terms of trim and brakes: they are used a lot and don't have much space to cool down during the ride. "There are similarities with Monaco in terms of attitude and also with Hungary, a track that requires much downforce"-explains Felipe-"If you look at these two races, we went better in the Principality at the Hungaroring, so hopefully Singapore looks more at Monte Carlo! Last year the race was very hard for the tires and, although our car is very different this year, I'm expecting a difficult race, because we will have the same compounds of 2011, Supersoft and Soft. Therefore, I expect to see more breaks than we've seen in the last two races. " If the Marina Bay shares some characteristics with that of Monaco, what makes it unique is the conduct, since this is the first and only race calendar that takes place entirely at night. "For me there are problems running under artificial lights because the lighting is so good that the visibility is more or less normal"-continues Felipe-"Physically there are difficulties to adapt to night why not change, remaining in Europe: you go to bed at five in the morning and wake up at 1 in the afternoon. The race begins at 20, then at two o'clock in the afternoon: there are no differences. Of course it's strange bedtime at five but it works and we can keep this time all weekend ". If you want to get a good night's sleep then it is better not to have too many concerns and, although Massa still don't know her future after the Japan Grand Prix, the Ferrari seems to face uncertainty with great calm. "There are no news about my future at the moment but there is no doubt that good results will help"-Felipe-confirmation "should I just continue to do our best and to make good points, hoping to hear good news soon. It's always better to know how things stand and, of course, I know what I'll do next year but I can assure you that never happened to think when they're in the car in the middle of the race! I am aware that results are those that count, so I know perfectly well that there may be risky situations and you have to race to think very carefully about what you do, because the priority is to finish the race.
