Wenger: "I wanted to sell van Persie abroad"

The first words of the manager of Arsenal in EXCLUSIVELY to TF1 following the sale of van Persie at Manchester United: "I am sad because we lost a champion and will not be easy to fill this void. I wanted to sell it abroad, but is been impossible. " And Juve? Arsene Wenger has spoken for the first time after the official release of Robin van Persie at Manchester United and has made the program Telefoot of TF1. Wenger has expressed his regret as a result of farewell to another great star of his Arsenal.
NO RENEWAL AND DEPARTURE REQUIRED - " Robin van Persie is a great player and is always sad to lose such a champion - the first words of the French manager of Arsenal -. But you must consider the economic factor and the will of the player: If you are unable to reach an agreement for an extension within one year of maturity, there is no other option but to let him go . "
ANOTHER BITE BITTER ... - " It's a sad situation because [van Persie] has played eight years with us, came 21 year old goes to 29, is a bitter pill to knock down - says Wenger, referring also to earlier departures of Adebayor, Fabregas, Nasri and Toure, to name just the last -. There have been many others and we always managed to get up, but clearly this time it will be tough because it is a player who has scored 30 goals in one year , almost one per game. It is not easy to replace a player as well . "
A CHANCE FOR MORE Giroud - " The economic part is the only satisfactory - try consolòarsi the manager of Arsenal - but the field does not play with money, no need of technical quality. Surely there are more possibilities by Giroud, because if all you have van Persie he's obviously the first name on the list for training. Now there's the void to be filled".
I was hoping to SELL ABROAD - "Another negative point is that it has strengthened a rival club. We wanted to avoid it but it was not possible. We would rather sell it abroad, such as Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United ... unfortunately knows him well, know what kind of quality has: a unique player, really. "
Just these words to show Wenger reflected the inability of Juventus to enter into negotiations to arrive at van Persie, who evidently was a bargain (at least from the black and white) media only.
