Lord, I Thank You {Music Mondays}

Have you ever had an all-out worship session, just you and the Lord? I mean a down-right, hands raised, gratefulness-tumbling-out-of-your-mouth, tears-streaming-from-your-eyes, it-doesn't-matter-if-the-phone-is-ringing kind of worship for the Lord.



Well, Ladies, this song brings me to this point, every time I hear it. It starts off with, "For the many times I've fallen, yet You forgave me--thank You. Lord I thank You!" That line alone could be a song on its own! Or this line, near the end of the song: "He is the Author of my faith {thank You}, He is the Sustainer of my mind {thank You}!" God is so gracious and so good and so kind and so loyal and so faithful. . .



With that said, this is not a 3 or 4 minute tune, it's just about 9 minutes long. . .9 minutes of thanksgiving to our Lord, Who is more than worthy. . .you might have to steal away for a moment to let the tears fall uninterrupted! (Or, as in my case, send the kids outside for a bit of play time!)

Lord, I'm Available to You (Music Mondays)

May we as believers make ourselves available to God, to be used for His purpose.

You gave me my hands to reach out to man, to show him Your love and  Your perfect plan.

You gave me my ears, I can hear Your voice so clear. I can hear the cries of sinners, but can I wipe away their tears?

You gave me my voice to speak to speak Your Words, to sing all Your praises to those who never heard. But with my eyes I see a need for more availability. I see hearts that have been broken, so many people to be free.

Lord, I'm available to You. My will I give to You. I'll do what You say do. Use me, Lord, to show someone the way. And enable me to say, "my storage is empty and I am available to You!"

My Son's Birthday! (Music Mondays)

Today is my son's birthday. He is officially 4 years old and boy, is he proud!



I am thankful for my son, my live-in super hero, protector against all enemies, real or imagined. He is such a source of joy and laughter in our lives and we are so grateful for him. I must say that each day of having him as my son is a complete adventure.



You see, after having 2 daughters, I became used to all things girly and had an automatic, built-in understanding of the all the female quirks of a young lady in the making. But oh, to have a boy! It has been a SUPER fun learning experience. It's amazing to see how God created this little boy--just so intrinsically "manly" yet my "baby" at the same time, with glimpses of how he'll be when he's a grown-up man. Simply fascinating!



So on to the music part, right?! Here is our family singing happy birthday to our brand new 4 year old!

What A Friend We Have in Jesus--this is one of my favorite hymns; it is just so encouraging. . .we sang it in church yesterday.

Here is just a snippet of a "fun" version that I remember someone singing in my church when I was a little girl. . . it combines my 2 favorite portions of this song. . .
